Together, IBM and Bharti Airtel will deploy Airtel’s edge computing platform, allowing large businesses in a variety of sectors, including manufacturing and the automotive industry, to swiftly implement new solutions. The edge platform will initially be used by Maruti Suzuki, the biggest manufacturer of passenger cars in India, to improve the precision and effectiveness of quality inspections carried out on the production line.
Maruti Suzuki, Airtel, and IBM released a statement on Wednesday saying they expect this platform to improve quality control and guarantee data security at the edge.
Reports
“At Maruti Suzuki, we consistently work to satisfy the highest standards of quality by making sure that our procedures and quality control are far superior to those set by the industry. In this journey, technology is a critical enabler that helps improve quality, efficiency, and create the next-generation user experience. Rajesh Uppal, senior executive director, HR and IT, Maruti Suzuki, stated, “We are eager to engage with Airtel Business and IBM to set an even higher benchmark and explore the wide possibilities of employing AI and analytics at the edge to augment the knowledge of our employees.
