Manisha Raisinghani is a few female techies who deliberately work in the business interaction, leadership, and logistics sectors. She believes in working hard, strong analytical skills with a great attitude.
Manisha’s story in her own words
Sharing her story, she says “My father was a first-time entrepreneur who faced his share of struggles. I was expected to continue the legacy. But I chose a different path. A lot of the credit here goes to my father who allowed me and my sister to explore and find our paths”.
She was born and bought up in Ulhasnagar, a Mumbai-based city that comes under the Thane district.
When we move deep into her school days, we got to know that she was a backbencher, yet a geek. “Teachers always used to wonder where they should put me- amid the naughty sections or the bright ones, ” she adds.
But, she was a mathematical geek since her childhood that made her love towards the practicality of the subject. She further adds “I used to teach maths to even my older cousins. This interest later pushed me towards engineering”.
The game-changer point of Manisha’s life
When we think about engineering, all we can think about is handling endless projects, internships, and pursuing entrepreneurship in or out of college. However, Manisha was into doing a lot of fun during her college.
Although being a backbencher she secured decent marks and was selected for a good college of her choice. Being an E&C student, she got placed in Tata Company. She didn’t want to move out of Mumbai, so she dropped the offer of a rural-based job.
Later she became a part of Mastek, an international digital transformation company, where she discovered her immense love for programming language.
She joined a startup afterward, and there is no looking back since then and handled the role of a software engineer to an architect role in two years. She did her Masters’s from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) that was the first step towards entrepreneurship.
The start of LogiNext
During her IBM studies, she came across GE Transportation, where she got to know about the insights of how to increase the fuel efficiency by saving fuel?
She, along with friend Dhruvil, launched LogiNext in 2014 in India. They made different products to call out specific concerns by keeping the minimal technology involved. Since then, the techie duo didn’t look back. They are solving many issues under a single roof. She adds, “One should keep their focus on learning one or two fundamental languages. Once you mast them, you can go ahead to learn new things.”
