India’s innings
Earlier, thanks to the strong innings of Virat Kohli (57) and Rishabh Pant (39), India scored 151 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. India invited to bat first, did not have a good start. Shaheen Shah Afridi did not even allow Rohit Sharma to open the account and lbw out. Then he clean bowled KL Rahul (3). Suryakumar Yadav made two charming strokes, but Hasan Ali gave India the third blow by getting him caught by the wicketkeeper.
Then Captain Kohli took the Indian innings with Rishabh Pant (39) sharing 53 runs for the fourth wicket. Shadab Khan took Pant’s catch on his own ball. From here Kohli got the support of Ravindra Jadeja (13). Both added 41 runs for the fifth wicket. Then Hasan Ali got Jadeja out caught by Mohammad Nawaz. Shaheen Afridi gave Kohli the sixth blow to India by getting caught by wicketkeeper Rizwan.
Kohli scored 57 runs in 49 balls with the help of five fours and a six. Then Hardik Pandya could not do wonders. He scored 11 runs in 8 balls with the help of two fours and returned to the dugout by giving a catch to Babar Azam in mid-off off Harris Rauf.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar( 5*) and Mohammed Shami remained unbeaten without opening an account. Shaheen Shah Afridi took the most three wickets for Pakistan. Hasan Ali got two wickets. Shadab Khan and Harris Rauf got one success each.
Pakistan’s innings
Chasing the target of 152 runs, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan gave a quick start to Pakistan. Both shared a partnership of 50 runs in 46 balls. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan did not play a risky shot even once and carried their innings with great simplicity. India did create pressure in two to three overs, but Pak openers dealt with the pressure very well,
Both the batsmen completed a 100-run partnership in 12.5 overs, swinging shots in the four corners of the field. The good thing is that both Rizwan and Babar never played the wrong shot, that is to say, they got lucky. Playing without risk, both of them completed a partnership of 150 runs in 106 balls. Pakistan achieved a big win by 10 wickets with 13 balls to spare.
In the end, it was a good match to watch. What are your views on the match?
